The Bestseller Headquarters, designed by Dorte Mandrup, is conceived as a landmark high-rise development and is designed to become the tallest residential tower in Europe, reaching a height of 320 meters.

The project is part of a larger masterplan that reinterprets the concept of a corporate campus. While the tower defines the skyline, a series of lower buildings at its base form a compact urban village, accommodating complementary functions and creating a coherent spatial system.

Sustainability is a core driver of the project. The entire development is designed in compliance with DGNB certification requirements and is powered by a 125 MW solar power plant, covering the full operational energy demand of the complex. This approach integrates large-scale renewable energy generation into the overall performance strategy.

The headquarters hosts a mix of functions, including office spaces, retail areas, and a high-rise hotel with conference facilities. The design aims to provide an efficient and attractive working environment while rethinking the traditional concept of a corporate headquarters through a flexible and long-term development strategy.

The tower façade is defined by a strong and regular grid system, expressing structural clarity while supporting the building’s verticality. One of the main engineering challenges is the tower’s extreme slenderness, which requires a highly efficient structural system capable of resisting wind and seismic forces, while maintaining open floor plates to maximize usable space and uninterrupted views.

The project demonstrates how structural optimization, façade design, and sustainability strategies can be integrated to support extreme height and performance requirements in contemporary high-rise construction.
